Education is the foundation of wellbeing of the society. Students must look forward to attend the school and take pride in being a student of the school. To make the school a happy school, Prabhakar Foundation nurtured over 10 schools in Solapur district by providing them basic infrastructure and facilities to improve quality of education. Over Rs. 20 lakh were spent benefitting about 10 schools with over 2,500 students.
Solapur district being a perennial draught area, deeper and deeper bore wells are dug to source water. Water from these bore wells is found to be very hard in nature and is a major cause of health problems. 25 schools in Solapur districts were installed with modern water purification plants with sand, carbon & RO filters and UV treatment. Over Rs. 25 lakh was spent benefitting 25 schools with over 6,000 students and teaching staff.
Students of government run and aided schools get curriculum books free. However the students of un-aided schools do not get this basic facility. Prabhakar Foundation provided books to students from 5th to 10th standard in un-aided schools in Solapur district. About Rs. 11 lakh were spent on this project benefitting more than 10,000 students from 160 un-aided schools
Prabhakar Foundation adopted Balawantrao Ghate Prashala; a secondary school in Yavali, district Solapur in 2009. Far-reaching changes in the infrastructure of the school and quality of education was brought in about ten years. The school soon was considered to be a model school in the district. About Rs. 40 lakh were spent benefitting over 250 students

2020 - Caring for Resident Doctors at Covid Centre in Thane
Prabhakar Foundation under project "Aahaar" provided breakfast for seven weeks to resident doctors of Covid Centre run by Thane Municipal Corporation at Bhayandar Paada. Rs. 73,000 was spent for this noble cause. Seeking donations and seamlessly executing the project was ably lead by Dr. Gauri Kulkarni.
2020 - Caring for teachers form Barshi taluka during COVID - 19 Pandemic
Prabhakar Foundation provided grocery and essentials to 40 households of teachers working in un-aided schools in Barshi Taluka who had no source of income during the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The grocery took care of the day to day need of the household for one month.
2017 - Up-gradation of 45 Home toilets with septic tanks to Yavali
Government funded Rs. 12,000 for constructing toilets for households for poor. This was not adequate for constructing a modern toilet with septic tanks. Prabhakar Foundation along withRotary Club of Thane Suburban funded Rs. 5,000 to 45 such households in village Yavali to build toilets with septic tanks.
2016 - Drought management in Yavali in Barshi Taluka of Solapur
Solapur district has a perennial problem of water shortage and drought. Prabhakar Foundation installed a bore well, pumping and water storage tanks for village Yavali to take care of the water requirement of the villagers. Water storages were also installed around the village for cattle to drink water.
2014 – Major Repairs of Maruti Mandir, Yavali, Barshi, Solapur
Prabhakar Foundation re-constructed Hanuman Temple at village Yavali, District Solapur. The temple is located at the entrance of the village and is used by the villagers for public meetings, resting in the afternoon, waiting for the public transport etc. More than 2,500 villagers benefited with the project
2011 – Reconstruction of check-dam near Badlapur, Thane
Prabhakar Foundation funded installation of a check dam at a location near Badlapur. The check dam is expected to provide water for irrigation and increase the ground water level in the area. The project was conceived and implemented by Rotary Club of Thane Suburban (RCTS).
2009 – Solar electrification, Bhatipada, Jawhar, Thane
Prabhakar Foundation provided electricity through solar energy to a small village named Bhatipada; about 20 km from Jawhar in the district Thane. The Foundation provided solar lighting kits to all the 30 houses of the village along with a street light. The electricity has brought a new ray of hope to this village with a population of over 200.
